Sermon: Known Through and Through – January 15, 2012

1 Samuel 3:1-10; Psalm 139:1-6,13-18

Is this what my life is meant to be? I want to do something important, something big. I’ve studied and/or worked so hard all my life and none of it seems to matter.

Did you ever have thoughts like these go through your mind? Continue reading

Sermon: New Beginnings – 8 January 2012

Today we witnessed two “new beginnings.”

Some new beginnings we must earn – I’m thinking of driving – studying, taking a written test, then a driving test.

Some new beginnings are a gift – undeserved and unearned.

But new beginnings do come with new responsibilities.

Sermon: Away in a Manger – 24 December 2012

Merry Christmas! It has arrived, whether you were ready for it or not. And in the end, that is the real beauty of Christmas – that God took on flesh, became incarnate, and came to live among us, when we weren’t ready.
